How It Works
Join with a $50 monthly subscription. This fee provides you access to a suite of health care tools and a dedicated team of Personal Care Advocates, ready to guide you through health care decisions and bill negotiations.
After signup, you will have 3 months to submit a Fasting Insulin Test or DEXA Scan result to ensure you meet eligibility requirements.
Every month, you'll support another Carnivore’s health event based on age or family size. Our platform seamlessly manages these expenses.
Contribution limits:
- AGES 0-54: Up to $135/month
- AGES 55-64: Up to $270/month
- FAMILIES OF 4+: Up to $405/month.
When facing health care expenses from injury, illness, pregnancy, or other health events, the CrowdHealth community steps in. Carnivores contribute to cover your costs, and our platform handles the transfers. Use this support for any medical expenses.
HOW BIG BILLSÂ GETÂ PAID
Imagine a $500,000 hospital bill from an emergency open heart surgery. The bill first gets negotiated down to a reasonable fair market rate, approximately $150,000, and then gets submitted to the Crowd. 1,111 members give $135 each to meet the need of this medical bill.
When Brian breaks his arm mountain biking and faces $5,000 worth of medical bills from the ER, follow up care, and physical therapy, he knows he’s going to pay for the first $500 of care and then he can ask the Crowd for help with the rest. The remaining $4,500 gets crowdfunded by the Crowd, and sent directly to Brian who uses the funds to pay his medical bills.
For a planned knee replacement, CrowdHealth can help you shop for a high quality, fairly priced provider. Knee Replacement surgery on the free market costs approximately $20,000. This amount, distributed among 140 members, can be crowdfunded prior to the surgery so you have the funds you need to pay at the time of service.
Lisa and Michael are expecting their first child and just had their very first prenatal visit. While at the visit, their doctor gives them information on their cash-pay Global Fee for all prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care totalling $6000. When Lisa calls to register with the hospital, she is given a Good Faith Estimate for her delivery totaling another $6,000. Â Additional blood work and imaging adds another $1,500 to the total, bringing their maternity costs to $13,500. Lisa and Michael know they will be paying the first $3,000 for their Maternity Member Commitment and use the $10,500 they receive from the Crowd to pay the remaining balances.
Getting Verified
To ensure that the Carnivore Crowd is metabolically healthy, we will ask all Crowd members to submit one of two potential tests within the acceptable ranges, within 3 months of signing up.
After approval, Crowd members will need to submit tests twice per year to remain in the Crowd. All tests are eligible to be submitted to the Crowd for funding up to $100 per test.

No, only the primary member needs to pass the required tests.
You have 3 months from signup to submit one test within the acceptable score ranges, after which you will be removed from the Crowd.
The Crowd will be fully self-funded at 2000 members.
There is no perfect way to measure metabolic health, and we are aware that there are limitations to these tests. However, we don’t want perfect to be the enemy of the good. This Crowd is evolving and over time we may update or alter our verification requirements.
We ask that all members prioritize red meat at the center of their diets, and abstain from processed foods, added sugars and seed oils. If you eat an animal-based diet and are metabolically healthy we’d love to have you!
You will be moved to the general Crowd. We plan on opening up future ways to re-test if you want to try again.
All CrowdHealth members will have the same contribution ceiling, no matter which Crowd they are in. However, we believe that a Crowd of metabolically healthy individuals carries significantly less risk for health care costs incurred by onset diseases.
All tests, pass or fail, will be eligible for funding by the Crowd.
